neighbor’s christmas lights
reflecting in a puddle
like stars through a hole
what cosmic wonders!
solstice and lunar eclipse –
slept through both of them
up early to write
morning blackness wet with rain
desk lamp gives me warmth
I won’t say the Daily Haiku is back but….
winter leaves pasted
against rainy brick sidewalk
somewhere santa’s bell
bare winter branches
cold drizzle from a gray sky
still the sparrow sings
Hey, lookee here, I finally made it into the New York Times, the Gray Lady! Hopefully next time, it’ll be in the Books section!
Hackers destroyed my Wordpress implementation on Network Solutions, so I’m rebuilding from scratch. In the meantime, please check out my Reprints and Video pages. If you’re so inclined.
